Intermediate Wind Band
Rehearsals are 7.15-8.30pm on Tuesdays at Walsall Arena and Arts Centre.
The ensemble is aimed at students who have passed their Grade 3.
The Intermediate Wind Band is the step up from our junior ensemble, the Junior Wind Band. This band encourages students who have passed their Grade 3 (or students or play at this level) to join. Similar to the Fab Group and Junior Wind Band, the Intermediate Wind Band welcomes Woodwind, Brass and Percussion students. At this level, we'd also like to encourage bass guitarists to join the bands too.
Along with all Music Centre groups, the Intermediate Wind Band performs regular concerts throughout the year, giving the young musicians fantastic opportunities to perform to friends and family, and helping them to develop confidence as a performer.
Once students have reached Grade 5, it is time to move up to the next group, Senior Wind Band.
