Previous Rock 'N' Pop Events
Our Rock 'N' pop bands have many different performance opportunities to work towards each academic year, check out the drop down menu to see what our musicians have been up to in the past.
During last academic year the students had many performance opportunities alongside their weekly rehearsals with guidance from our specialist Rock 'N' Pop staff.
First was the 'New Year Gig' which was held in January in Auditorium 1 at Walsall Arena and Arts Centre. This was well attended by family and friends and allowed all our bands to perform in a professional environment.
The second performance event was our 'Originals Showcase' which was held in April. This was a closed doors event where all our bands performed for each other and were set the task of preparing some original material. It was also a great opportunity to perform other material they'd been working on. This was a workshop style event where other bands were invited to share their thoughts as well as special guest Gez Morral giving his feedback alongside our Rock 'N' Pop team.
The summer term gave numerous performance opportunities for our bands. 'Oversight' and 'Indecisive' performed at the Bandstand Bonanza and 'Downfall 77' gave the Rock 'N' Pop debut performance at the Lichfield Fuse Festival. Finally we had our end of year gig at the Robin in Bilston.
