Rules & Regs
Entrants must:
Be 18 or under
Live, or attend school/college in Walsall
Limit the piece to 3:30 minutes max
Backing tracks should not contain the entrants part
Any lyrics (for singers) should not be offensive
Make sure they are available for the final if they are successful, which will be held on Thursday 27th March 2025
Entrants will also
Include a photo of themselves playing their instrument
Acknowledge that the photo and names given in the application form will be made available publicly (either on YouTube, our website or via social media for the winners)

PREVIOUS WINNERS
WYMS Category winners cannot re-enter for 2 years.
Up and Coming winners cannot re-enter the U & C category but can enter the WYMS category after 1 year.

Include a promotional photo
By entering this competition, you authorise Walsall Music Education Service to use your photograph and video recordings as it sees fit for promotional and marketing purposes

Closing date for submissions is Friday 14th February 2024.
Heats commence w/b 3rd March
Students will receive copies of the comments sheet after the event has taken place
The judges decision is final
