Forest Arts Music Hub

Following the success of our first Piano Spotlight event in September 2024, we are delighted to announce that it will be returning in Spring 2027.

The event will take place at Walsall Arena and Arts Centre on Wednesday 10th March at 7pm.

The Piano Spotlight provides a platform for young pianists from across Walsall to showcase their talent in front of a live audience. The event is delivered in partnership with the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and we are pleased to once again welcome Daniel Browell, Associate Head of Keyboard Studies at the RBC.

Daniel will provide feedback on the performances and give a short talk about what it is like to study piano in a higher education setting.  We are also hoping to be joined by two current students from RBC who will perform during the event.

To be eligible to take part, students must either live in Walsall or attend a Walsall school and be able to perform a piece to a confident performance standard. Students of all grades and abilities are welcome to apply.  The performance will start at 7pm on Wednesday 10th March, with students likely to be required from around 5:00pm.

The registration deadline is Friday 5th February 2027.
