Instrumental and Vocal lessons

Tuition at Music Centre

What do we offer?

Individual tuition is available at Walsall Music Centre on a wide range of instruments including vocal and music theory, for students up to 18 years. Lessons are delivered weekly, after school hours, throughout the academic year by experienced, specialist music professionals in…

Brass
Woodwind
Strings
Guitar
Bass guitar
Vocals
Drum kit
Piano
Music Theory

As part of the lesson package, we can offer the free loan of an instrument, if required. (Terms apply*)

How much do lessons cost?

From September 2024 for each 30-minute instrumental/vocal lesson:

  • Standard Fee: £14.50

  • Ensemble Fee: £12.00 If the instrument that is being taught is used in a Music Centre ensemble, the Standard Fee is reduced to £12.00. This is to encourage ensemble attendance, which will promote progression, and can attract more subsidy from our Arts Council England Grant.

  • As our grant funding supports education up to and including Year 13, for students post Year 13 the fee will be £17.50, and only possible where we have capacity.

All our lessons continue to be subsidised. The fees as stated above are not the full cost to us as a service to deliver lessons.

For full details on our charging and remissions please find our policy on our website by selecting About and then Policies: www.walmused.org.uk

Payment is required in advance, half termly (approximately 6 weeks)
