Walsall Young Music Star is our annual music competition for young soloists who live or go to school in the Walsall Area

The competition is split up into two categories:       

Walsall Young Music Star (Secondary)

Walsall Up and Coming Young Music Star (Primary - grade 3 and below)

Applicants enter the heats with a piece of music in any style or genre, but limited to a maximum  length of 3'30".  These will be judged by specialist adjudicators who gave feedback and select the finalists. The Heats are being held live at Walsall Arena and Arts Centre W/C 3rd March, likely Wednesday 5th evening (Tuesday evening as well, if needed).

Our live final will be held on Thursday 27th March 2025 at 7:00pm in the A1 auditorium at Walsall Arena and Arts Centre.  Tickets will cost £5 and will be available from the Arena box office in March.
